Hall update July

Hello everyone, it has been a busy and successful couple of months as the hall continues to push forward. There were many successful events held in the hall during the festival week and it was great for the committee to see the hall actively being used for community events.  We have received several donations recently, the biggest of which was from the Albaston Fete who donated a fantastic £400 from their coffers.   I have recently had a quote to replace

Open day success and the immediate future.

Last week we held several open events, inviting other local groups to attend.  A good time was had by all as many members of our great community came to find out what was happening in the hall and give their thoughts about it’s future.  It is very encouraging to see so much interest in the hall’s future.  So far we have seen 52 of the leaflets dropped in the doorways returned with your thoughts about events to hold. Gunnislake Festival

It’s almost time for the Gunnislake festival. Running from the 8th of July until the 16th there are a whole host of events around the village, including some within the hall.  Come along to as many as you can, see what our wonderful community has to offer. Saturday 8th:  Village market; Art Cafe; The Last Watch will be singing outside the Buccaneer. Open for business

Gunnislake Hall is open and ready for business! All it needs now are lots of events to fill it. The Coffee Mornings and the Table Tennis club are still ongoing and the GLAD Youth Group are putting on Saturday morning workshops here. A Digital Photography course run by Stuart Bailey is also scheduled for Wednesday nights in June/July. A New Start

So as you may have realised, the hall has now re-opened with both table tennis and the Thursday coffee morning resuming. We will be looking for further opportunities to hold activities so if you are interested or know someone who is please ask them to contact us.
