A new lease of life.

As many of you will know, the upper hall has recently received a new neutral colour scheme that will hopefully make it more inviting, looking fresher and cleaner.  I would like to say thank you to all those that helped to make this happen. I would especially like to thank Paul Renfree who not only helped us get the paint cheaper, he also donated the first few pots, and to Clive Frederick-Preece who’s various ladders and scaffolding made the job a lot quicker and easier.

There have been many successful events held recently in the hall; from jumble sales to disco’s and private parties. And there are a growing number of weekly activities available too.  The following year shows great promise as we look to put a premises license in place, update the toilets, provide kitchen facilities and begin work on the downstairs area.

If you are one of the many people who have helped throughout the year, thank you so much. The hall would not be where it is without you.  Thank you to the committee who continue to provide guidance and support, with special thanks to Frank Goodman who has worked very hard as our secretary and unofficial janitor.  There is still lots to do to make the hall more successful and ensure it’s long term future and we can only do this with your continued support.  In the coming year we would like to see an increased involvement from the community; as a famous supermarket says “Every little helps.”

On that note I would like to say Merry Christmas to you all and lets hope that we all have a great 2018.
