Gunnislake Hall is open and ready for business!
All it needs now are lots of events to fill it.
The Coffee Mornings and the Table Tennis club are still ongoing and the GLAD Youth Group are putting on Saturday morning workshops here. A Digital Photography course run by Stuart Bailey is also scheduled for Wednesday nights in June/July.
And of course the Gunnislake Festival History events will be back in July.
A recent Facebook poll on things you’d like to see at the Hall showed local interest in; a cinema club, fitness sessions and martial arts training above others and we are looking to put these in place.
We are also ready to take private bookings for parties but cannot offer an alcohol licence at present.
So now if you want a local venue for your local event look no further.
The Gunnislake Village Hall Management Committee are applying for Charitable Incorporated Organisation status which will enable them to seek wider funding options for the refurbishment of the hall. We have a clear set of objectives but achieving them will take time. We are a non-profit organisation now though so any money raised by the hall will go straight back into repairs and improvements.
The first Annual General Meeting of the new Hall management committee will be held in the main hall on Monday 12th June 2017 from 7.30. All are welcome to attend and if you wish to help in the running of the Hall in any way then come along and let us know.
